Bernice Kussell Society (a VALLEYLIFE Giving Society) Beats the Summer Heat with Cocktail Party

An elegant array of hors d'oeuvres and sweet treats were on full display on Thursday evening as members of the Bernice Kussell Society gathered on VALLEYLIFE’s main campus for their annual cocktail party and fundraising event. Attendees of the event, which was held in VALLEYLIFE's campus located newly created "bistro," were treated to a cozy vintage atmosphere complete with dim lighting, black and white décor, and a projection of the 1925 silent film version of The Wizard of Oz.

This week’s cocktail party/fundraising event is just one of several VALLEYLIFE-hosted events in which Bernice Kussell Society members can mingle and catch up with all that’s new and ongoing within the organization and donate much-needed funds to VALLEYLIFE. Following speeches from Director of Fund Development Margaret Stephens-Reed and VALLEYLIFE President/CEO Cletus Thiebeau, guests had the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about exciting new initiatives. Additionally, VALLEYLIFE's newest initiative, the Health Prep Kitchen, was opened for tours.

The Bernice Kussell Society was founded as part of the VALLEYLIFE Foundation to aid in funding VALLEYLIFE Member needs that are not covered by traditional funding sources. After a minimum annual gift of $1,000, donors interested in joining will be welcomed into the society. If you are interested in joining, reach out to Margaret Stephens-Reed at mreed@valleylifeaz.org for more information.
